BCCI had been given full assurance to the International Cricket Council (ICC) in the meetings regarding the issuance of visas to the Pakistani team in the World Cup. According to that assurance, visas will be issued to the Pakistani team and staff and there will be no problem in this matter from the Indian government.
Tax Exemption Agreement
The ICC is also facing a tax exemption issue in connection with the ICC Men’s day cricket world cup 2023 and it is expected that the BCCI will soon clear the matter with government officials and the mega event will be played in India as per its schedule.
The ICC has signed a tax exemption agreement with all hosting boards to conduct its tournaments and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also signed the agreement to implement in 2014.
